Supervisors stand closest to the work, so they decide, every hour, whether a job goes ahead safely. This self-study course gives new and experienced supervisors, foremen and safety officers the knowledge and the daily routines to lead a safe crew, based on ISO 45001:2018, the occupational safety and health chapter of Iraqi Labour Law No. 37 of 2015, and good practice from the oil and gas industry.
Across eight lessons you will follow Saif, a newly promoted supervisor at a maintenance contractor in Zubair, Basra, as he leads a 24-person crew through a six-week shutdown after a trainee is injured by a grinder. You will learn what OHS covers and who is responsible for what, the employer and worker duties in Articles 113 to 125 of the Labour Law, and how an OHS management system works with Plan-Do-Check-Act, policy, worker participation, SMART objectives and records. You will recognise eight families of hazards, from noise and heat to chemicals, manual handling and fatigue; score risks on a 5 x 5 matrix; apply the hierarchy of controls; and choose and manage PPE. You will then learn to run 10-minute toolbox talks, train and present to your crew, protect stop-work authority, build safety culture, carry out inspections with checklists, Pareto charts and 5S, and manage contractors. Finally you will calculate LTIFR and TRIR, use leading indicators, and investigate incidents with the 4 Ps, Five Whys and the fishbone diagram to reach root causes and actions that work. The course includes 47 diagrams and charts, three narrated videos, templates you can download, and a 25-question final exam.

ستتابع على مدى ثمانية دروس سيف، المشرف المرقّى حديثاً في شركة صيانة في الزبير بالبصرة، وهو يقود فريقاً من 24 شخصاً في أعمال توقف تستمر ستة أسابيع بعد إصابة متدرب بالجلاخة. ستتعلم ما تشمله السلامة المهنية ومسؤولية كل جهة، وواجبات صاحب العمل والعامل في المواد 113 إلى 125 من قانون العمل، وكيف يعمل نظام إدارة السلامة بدورة خطّط-نفّذ-تحقّق-حسّن والسياسة ومشاركة العاملين والأهداف الذكية والسجلات. وستتعرف على ثماني فئات من المخاطر من الضوضاء والحرارة إلى المواد الكيميائية والمناولة اليدوية والإرهاق، وتقيّم المخاطر بمصفوفة 5×5، وتطبّق تسلسل إجراءات التحكم، وتختار معدات الوقاية وتديرها. ثم تتعلم عقد اجتماعات ما قبل العمل في 10 دقائق، وتدريب فريقك والعرض أمامه، وحماية صلاحية إيقاف العمل، وبناء ثقافة السلامة، وتنفيذ التفتيش بقوائم التحقق ومخطط باريتو و5S، وإدارة المقاولين. وأخيراً تحسب معدلات الإصابات وتستخدم المؤشرات الاستباقية وتحقق في الحوادث بالعناصر الأربعة والأسئلة الخمسة ومخطط عظمة السمكة للوصول إلى الأسباب الجذرية وإجراءات فعّالة. تتضمن الدورة 47 رسماً ومخططاً وثلاثة فيديوهات مسموعة ونماذج للتنزيل واختباراً نهائياً من 25 سؤالاً.

New and experienced site supervisors, foremen, charge hands, safety officers and HSE representatives in oil and gas, construction, maintenance, manufacturing and utilities, and anyone preparing to lead a team safely. No previous safety qualification is needed.
